HARD DAYS ON THE CHO OYU

A Hungarian expedition-documentary, 2004

The exciting expeditionary adventure movie shows the viewers the 8201m Cho Oyu in Tibet which is the sixth highest peak in the world. The director-cameraman faced with the challenges of the mountain alone -fighting the gales, the lack of air and the danger of frostbite. It turns out of the film, which is personal in style and filled with self-interviews, whether there is life above the clouds and if yes, what it is like. The movie is special because it happened to record how climbers managed to save the life of a German climber at the height of 7000 meters!

Moreover the expedition gives an authentic picture of the nomads living in Central Tibet which is under Chinese occupation.
